Qualification and Experience

Applicants must possess MBBS degree recognized by PMDC or Medical Officer BPS 17 qualification. Preference will be given to candidates having MPH or FETP certification. Relevant post qualification experience in disease surveillance or public health sector will be preferred.

Job Responsibilities

The Disease Surveillance Officer will coordinate and supervise surveillance activities in all districts of Mekran Division. The selected candidate will support data collection, reporting and monitoring of communicable diseases. Responsibilities include reviewing and refining surveillance systems, conducting active case searches and community engagement, leading outbreak investigations and ensuring timely response to health emergencies.

The DSO will also be responsible for achieving surveillance sensitivity targets, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting to higher authorities of the Health Department Balochistan.

Terms and Conditions

Age limit will be considered according to Government of Balochistan contract policy. Candidates from all over Balochistan are eligible to apply. Government and semi government employees must apply through proper channel. No TA or DA will be admissible for interview.

Selection will be purely on merit based on the recommendations of the Divisional Health Committee Mekran. The department reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
